Check out our new pop-up weekly newsletter for the month of October
| The Jewish Federation is committed to building bridges and understanding with Israel - and supporting those people and groups who fall between the cracks and need additional support, especially after October 7. We are offering two special opportunities for our community to come together and participate in these efforts. First - we are encouraging book clubs in our community that take a look at some of the challenges and dilemmas facing Israel and our community today. For any of our partners, or individuals, that wish to convene a book club on Rachel Goldberg-Polin’s book, When We See You Again, or Dara Horn’s new book, The Final Solution to the Jewish Question: A Love Story for the Living, we will buy the books for your participants. A book club would need to include 3 or more people and include at least one discussion about the book. Sign up for your group or as an individual who wants to join a group here: http://www.jewishoceancounty.org/israelbookswww.jewishoceancounty.org="" israelbooks<="" a=""> And if you want to facilitate a discussion about the book, or want to convene a book group about another Israel-related book, let us know: [email protected] There’s another way you can get a copy of these books as a gift. Make a new or renewed contribution to our Israel Resilience Fund of $72 or more. This fund will support grants to partners and programs helping Israelis recover from PTSD and other damages after October 7. Your contribution will have an immediate impact and continue to show how the Ocean County Jewish community cares for our friends and family in Israel.
