3:30 Comedy for Peace

Dotan Malach (Erik Angel)

An Israeli-Jewish comedian and the founder/producer of the Comedy for Peace Show. Born and raised in Israel, moved to New York few years ago, and made his home on the Upper West side. Since then, he has been performing all over the world. He appears at the LA The Laugh Factory the Stand and many other significant venues all over the US. He tours Europe regularly, has opened for major headliners including Maz Jobrani, and has performed in Tokyo and Israel. He has been seen on CBS and have more than 2M views on Tik-Tok. His comedy is very surprising, clever, high energy, deals with being a recent immigrant, fortyish, a newlywed, that he's Jewish, and speaks English-Falafel 24/7.

Comedy for Peace is not a political show. Just in case you were wondering.

A project that aims to unite Jewish and Muslim communities through humor and mutual understanding. Our project brings together the best Muslim and Jewish stand-up comedians for an inspiring, funny and unforgettable evening

Comedy for Peace was founded by comedian/producer Dotan Malach, who understood that although the political situation isn't easily fixable - on a personal level, we're all human beings who want to work and live together, peacefully. The first goal of Comedy for Peace is to show everyone that we can, very easily, collaborate, standing on one stage together, to have fun and to laugh on ourselves and on each other, without any politics involved.

Comedy For Peace combining the best Muslim and Jewish stand-up comedians for an inspiring, funny and unforgettable evening. It is an accessible, funny, fun, and meaningful show that brings interfaith diverse communities together, with the belief that we can make a difference through the art of comedy. Our show is a relief from the concerns of the day, with an important message that we, the people, just want to live together peacefully. Our show proves Muslims and Jews can work together, laugh at themselves and each other and be friends. We refuse to be enemies!

5:30 Dinner and a Movie

One Big Happy Family

A Film by Matt Sohn, Written and Produced by Lisa Brenner

“The late, great Tony winner Linda Lavin (Alice) shines as an overbearing Jewish grandmother in One Big Happy Family, a big-hearted contemporary Bat Mitzvah comedy about mothers, daughters, sisters and the mensches we pick along the way to join our chosen family. L’chaim!”, Thelma Adams, Rotten Tomatoes Top Critic

When a DNA test completely upends a woman’s life, while planning her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah, she embarks on a hilarious journey with her eccentric mother to find out who she really is.
