                               Women's Division History

The Jewish Federation's Women's Campaign began more than 50 years ago.  It was established to give every Jewish woman the opportunity to educate herself regarding her history and heritage; to perform the mitzvah of tzedakah; to teach her children and her grandchildren by her own example; and to be a partner in the task of tikkun olam, the struggle to perfect the world.

Since then, Jewish Federation's Women's Campaign has become the connection to power and access - helping women to assume their rightful places as leaders and decision makers.  As women have acquired control over significant financial resources, they have participated at every giving level.  Nationally, women represent the fastest growing segment of the campaign.  They have led the way in endowment, taking steps to provide a secure future for generations to come.  Women's voices are being heard, and they are making a difference in the setting of communal objectives and priorities.|
